CHRISTMAS HAM, NEGRONI GLAZE & ROAST PEACHES
You can glaze the ham earlier in the morning or even the day before. It is best when served at room temperature.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Pastry brush, knife, chopping board, large baking tray
PANTRY STAPLES: Cooking oil
1. Preheat the oven to 160C fan forced. Line a large baking tray.
2. Prepare the ham and peaches: Gently remove the skin from the ham using a knife or your fingers. Remove any excess fat with your knife. Score the surface of the ham crossways and lengthways to create diamond shapes. Place the ham onto a lined baking tray. Pour the glaze over the ham, brush to spread evenly. Halve the peaches, drizzle with a little oil.
3. Bake the ham: Place the ham into the preheated oven. Bake for 40 minutes to an hour, brushing with the reducing glaze every 15 minutes, or until the ham is almost browned. Halve the peaches and place, cut side down, onto the baking tray. Cook for an additional 10 minutes until the peaches are slightly soft and glazed.
4. To serve: Remove the ham from the oven. Serve the ham with the peaches and any glaze remaining in the pan.
